Thursday, April 25 - Greek Theater and hike to the Castello

The Greek Theater

Constructed in the 3rd c BC, it is the 2nd largest Greek theater in Sicily, Siracusa being the largest, and has the capacity to seat 5,000 people.  Every summer Greek plays are performed here, as in Siracusa.  In addition, it is often used for movie and TV award ceremonies.

Soon, I will hike up the mountain to the left of the white rock to visit the castle at the top.

The views are beautiful!

And now...to hike to the castello.
