But first, we stopped in Rome to see our dear friend Ginevra Cecchini. Over the past 8 years, whenever we travelled to Italy, we stayed with Ginevra and Vincenzo. Ginevra even taught Judi a few recipes, including homemade limoncello. Sadly, Vincenzo died last year.
Here's Ginevra and her new puppy
And here is Vincenzo, a wonderful, kind and generous man who was also, at 75, a computer wizard.
Now on to Viterbo, about 35 miles north of Rome
Here is our new hostess Rossana Lanzi and our cute 1 room apartment in San Pellegrino, the medieval section of Viterbo.
The apartment is located in a very quiet courtyard off a one-way street in the San Pellegrino neighborhood.
That's our little car, which we managed to park in the courtyard.
The awning in the background is above our apartment entrance. Everyday, Rossana or Marco, her husband, put 2 nice wicker chairs and table under the awning, where we relaxed at the end of the day.
